Ruby Giraffe Fall 2012: The Drexel

When the goddess Ruby Jean arrived in Chicago, she found a tiny apartment in South Shore, on Chicago's Southside on Drexel Boulevard. I visited her old building and one thing that stood out was the color of the brick & mortar. It was red clay with onlays of grey. I dyed white cotton sateen over and over to mimic the color and imperfections of the brick at her old apartment.
