Our society/culture places a lot of stock into words. In these words, there are associated meanings that take on physical and psychological characteristics. You are wondering, "what the hell is she talking about"? I will get there, don't worry.

Our society even assigns value by these words. Conformist individuals ( not Ruby Giraffe consumers) gain their identities from these words. These words predict their lives, their movement, their happiness. These words control! These words are used by companies ( diet, fitness, nutrition etc) to exploit conformist individuals' insecurities thus creating capital. You know what...words AND numbers create an unnatural sense of self. Let's explore:

Small (How does saying/thinking this word make you feel?)
Synonyms for this word are Petite, teensy, bitty, baby, modest

Medium ( What about this one?)
Common, fair, neutral, average, normal

Large  (This one?)
Jumbo, massive, ample, bulky, colossal, gross

Extra Large ( how does this word feel on your tongue?)
Synonyms for this word are similar to large but more profound so let's just add uber to
everything....uber enormous, uber wide, uber monumental

2,4,6,8,10,12,14,16,18,20,22 ( What does these numbers make you think of?)

Our minds are trained to look at numbers and associate value. Look at these numbers! Worth is assigned to a human life by these numbers. And depending on the same of the spectrum that you choose/identify with, these numbers have higher worth from left-right or right-left.

My rationale is numbers/letters are man-made ideologies and values. They are too one-dimensional to define a body, a person, a life form but they do because we allow them to do so.I think that I know why Prince choose to define himself with just a symbol. Letters and numbers have the potential to make an individual feel worthless.

You are not worthless, a number (size), some words, your complexion, your gear....does not define you. You define you. Never let them "box" you up and give you, your identity.

Stay STRONG.
